William Futrell

God has been supernaturally good to our family. I have been married to Tracy Hyde Futrell for 24 years and counting. Tracy is an Occupational Therapist for UNC Nash Hospital. We met at East Carolina in 1997 and were married in December of 1999. We have been blessed with four amazing kids. Drew is our oldest and married our daughter in law, Lorah, in June of 2023. Sam and Rebekah are two amazing kids who bless our family with lots of love. All of our kids have expressed faith in Christ, followed the Lord in believer’s baptism, and seek to honor the Lord in every sphere of their lives. I responded to God’s call to vocational ministry after returning from a short-term mission trip to Bosnia in 2003. It was clear then, and even more so now, that He has a desire to use me in His kingdom as a shepherd for His people. I have been serving Christ and His church here in Knightdale since September of 2023.

I was born and raised in Knightdale, North Carolina and recently graduated from East Carolina University in 2021 with a bachelors degree in hospitality. Throughout my professional career I have had the opportunity to work at golf courses, a home-owners association, and other hospitality related roles; however, I have found the Lords calling to serve at Knightdale Baptist Church. I have been married to my husband for two wonderful years and many more to come.
